Baby fever

Not really, more, Baby has a fever.

Yesterday was Gunnis birthday and we had for the first time arrange that Tora would sleep over at her grandmothers. Well this little cookie is smart, or nature is, anyways Tora wakes up from her afternoon nap with a sky high fever. It was just perfect timing, I cancelled the sleep over and we only went for dinner with his football team and then home again. Today is a very slow day, pancakes and tv.

Dollhouse project

So I have a little side project to keep me busy and also to set my mind on something else then work. It is a dollhouse I found at a secondhand market, the house is really big not like the normal Laundry houses, this is big in wood a real treasure that someone didn’t want anymore. So no I am restoring it to a Nordic inspired dollhouse. The outside got a coat of mint pastel green this morning and hopefully I will have time to put some wallpaper in tomorrow 👍

Sæl aftur

Hello again 😉

I am probably the busiest person I know… and don’t think I am bragging about myself now! This is the way I am, I want to do it All at the same time!
My jobs, my daughter, our home, my company and every little extra side project. Plus this Blog!
I don’t even have time to pick up the phone and call my family or friends just to let them know I do think about them. And yes I could have done one call now instead of this text, but then how should I choose? At least now you all can read my excuse for not calling in two weeks 😉
You all know I love you anyway!

So life now is Good, really good. Busy at work and I am really good at what I do, I truly found my line off work. To sell and import/ export is my Thing.
Our little http://www.Petit.is will soon be a store downtown Reykjavik, after operating Petit as a online store for a hole year we are ready expand.

Tora min is growing, she is turning in to a little determinant chick, I guess she got it from her mom 😉 she is very clear on what she wants and does not let anyone push her around.
I am also renovating a doll house for her, complete renovation in true Nordic sense. Also our home is under construction, just put in new windows in the living room and will slowly redo the walls and kitchen.

At lunch today I was at the preview of Jean Paul Gutierrez collection for Lindex, really nice. I will attend the exclusive preshopping event next week so I get everything I want 😉 after the lunch showing I had meeting with the embassy of Japan, Norway and Germany. Really interesting meetings, I am so excited to start the new project for Iglo in these countries. Hopefully I will leave for Sweden and later Norway in November.

Here are some pictures of Tora when we looked at Gunnis game the other day.

Tons of Love and we will stay in touch 😉

A little busy

Hello Hej,

I haven’t blogged for ages, and recently I was in a intervju in NT ( Norrköpings tidningar/Sweden) where they wrote  that I was a famous blogger in Iceland. I have no clue where the misunderstanding happen, but famous I would not use on myself and blogger is not really right ether. Anyway it sounded good when I read it myself so I thought I should start to write again.

Tons of things gong on, as always. Just got back from Playtime Paris after 4days of showing Iglo&Indis new collection SS15.  The selling is going good and Iglo&indi will probably be in a store near you soon 😉

My little store Petit is running it self mostly, Gunnar have taken over the CEO tittel and are now working for Petit as his summer job. It is fun to bring new exiting products for children to Iceland and  we have some fun plans for the stores future. I am also trying to involve women how are Icelandic and want to design children’s items, I think I have been speaking to at least five different designers in different fields. Some of them are interested in the beginning but then they get greedy, it has been very difficult for me. Most of the time I was the one that took up the contact first and said that I would love to sell their creation in my store, to begging they where interested and after a while they want to compete with me or they are asking for impossible numbers. Said to say I think I learned my lesson now and I won’t involved any more Icelandic designers, perhaps only people I know in person. I am that type that have tons of ideas and share to much with new people. When I have shared my ideas with new people in my life I have been so disappointed when I later find out that they have taken my idea and copied it. This never happened to me in Sweden, I don’t know why it is happing here. I have so many expels of situations where I am telling a new person what my plans are and then the next week they are doing it. Got dammit Iceland…

Well I get over it fast at least, I have to stay focused on what matters 😉

I will post some pictures from Paris and Playtime. Stay tuned.

X

my hands on you

Our Sweden trip was really nice but now its new focus.

We have bought a new apartment in a really ”family friendly” area and I cant wait to get the keys for it so I can start to work my magic 😉 It will be so Nordic that its ridiculous, white floors, light gray kitchen, cooper details etc. Here are some of my inspiration pics:

Hej Sverige

Late last night me and Tora arrived to a snowy Stockholm. Our flight was one hour delayed and my perfect time planing with Toras sleep and eating was gone.. not such a good start for this trip.  She was over tiered when we finally got in the flight and she just wasn’t happy with the situation. I had economy plus seats but ended up changing my seat for one row all the way in the back.   Tora was for about 25 sweaty-minutes the airplane baby you just can’t listen to any more. And I was thinking to myself,  ohhh dear god make her calm down and sleep the rest of this flight.
But I think it was most hard on me and she could probably sense my stress of trying to make her fall asleep. But Finally she did.
We got picked up at Arlanda and had two more hours in the car before I could completely relax. The car ride was fine and I was so happy to see my family again. Now we have a great week in Sweden to look forward!
And it starts tomorrow with a shopping trip.. yayyyyyyyy
